Les Mills launches platform for kids to train virtually

If you like group classes, I'm sure your gym offers Body Combat, Pump or Balance choreographies created by Les Mills. Taking advantage of the free time that children have in summer, and that sport is always a perfect idea to do in leisure time; Sports Leaders UK and Les Mills have created a virtual platform very similar to Netflix, in which they will be published fitness content featuring children and aimed at boys between 4 and 16 years.

Born to Move: activities directed for children

The platform takes the name of Born to Move (Born to move) and will host virtually audiovisual content related to physical exercise and aimed at schools, children, parents and monitors.

It is quite similar to Netflix for its operation and you can see fitness classes that include strength exercises, martial arts and even yoga. According to Les Mills, Born to Move has been created to "support physical literacy and promote confidence and self-esteem."

Logically, the classes are under a format by and for children, being the same students who guide the classmates in the exercises shown. They are ideal for children between 4 and 16 years old, so you can consider spending a fun summer in the company of your children. They will not feel that physical exercise is "forced", but that it is a new way of moving through fun.

There will be free classes

Les Mills believes that "Every child deserves a healthy start in life and Born to Move has been created to provide children with the physical literacy skills and confidence they need to enjoy an active lifestyle.«. So those families who want to encourage their children from home will have no excuse.

Lucy Supperstone, Sports Leaders UK Awards Director, said: "We are delighted to partner with Les Mills on this program. Increasing the enthusiasm of young people to participate in physical activity through peer learning is at the heart of our mission. It's great to see this program supported by a model where trained and qualified facilitators influence change; and this can only be positive to help the children involved in the project to enjoy, learn and achieve daily goals related to physical activity«.

I know that children love directed classes such as Zumba or any other in which music is present. While the gyms begin to introduce sessions in which the little ones can also attend, what do you think of this new proposal?
