Asics has released two new models in a series called MetaSpeed. It is the result of months of research to offer the runner an optimal experience in each race. With these shoes, a reduction in the number of steps is promised to achieve the maximum performance of the most experienced athletes.

The new models are MetaSpeed Sky and MetaSpeed Edge, each one with its characteristics and focused on a slightly different public. On the one hand, the Sky are for runners with a long stride and the Edge for runners with a higher cadence (number of steps we take in a minute).

MetaSpeed's innovation could reduce the number of steps a runner takes in a marathon by more than 1,2%, giving athletes the opportunity to perform at their best, all thanks to a pair of shoes.

MetaSpeed Sky, to increase stride length

If we are already long-stride runners, then it would be worth taking a look at these Asics shoes. The company has created this model with the intention of increasing stride length and helping runners go faster.

This has been achieved by Asics thanks to a foam placed in the midsole called FF Blast Turbo already propellant carbon plate. The union of both technologies saves energy for the runner while maintaining a good pace in the race.

We can buy this model from today in the asics official website by $250, in models for men and women in a single design and color.

MetaSpeed Edge helps runners go faster

These Asics shoes have a peculiarity, apart from having the same technology as the previous ones, and that is that they are focused for runners with low cadence offering to increase their steps, have larger strides and go faster.

MetaSpeed Edge offers a different sole height and midsole than the Sky model, but it does maintain the same technology.

At the moment they are not for sale nor is the official price in Spain known. It has been confirmed that they will arrive at the Asics official website on June 4, 2021.
