First images of the Reebok Legacy Lifter IIs, what a change!

Reebok Legacy Lifter IIs

Attention all powerlifters and weightlifting shoe lovers out there, the Reebok Legacy II is about to arrive!

Two days ago, Wit Fitness, a multi-brand and fitness online retailer, quietly shared a page for the new Reebok Legacy II sneakers. Other than a few pages hosting photos for the male and female models, not much additional information has been shared about them.

There's clear text at the bottom of the page that describes the shoe, but there's not a lot of in-depth data on the models. On the page, the text says: «Hit the platform in these men's lifting shoes. They have a textile upper for a breathable feel. Raised heel keeps you stable on the platform so you can set up your new PR«.

So what can we do without more formal information about the shoe and its release date? We can swoon over the photos and make deductive reasoning about building this model based on the photos that have been shared.

Possible new features

From what we can tell, the heel construction looks somewhat similar to the Reebok NanoX, as the lateral and medial TPU layer wraps over the boot of the shoe. There also seems to be a additional TPU strip which provides additional security towards the upper heel. I guess that's for avoid any kind of heel slippage.

El Exterior design It looks like a mix of multiple materials including mesh, a lightweight synthetic leather, and textile material, however this is only based on what we can see in the photos. The brand seems to keep the old school theme that some of the latest Reebok trainers have boasted about, which looks sweet in my opinion. It's hard to get an old school look.

Possibly the biggest and most noticeable change is the elimination of double strap construction. The Reebok Legacy Lifter II has a single, thicker midfoot strap that crosses the midfoot. The construction appears to be nylon, but we'll have to wait for the information before making an official statement.

Considering this change and the reworked exterior construction, I'm curious to know how much will they weigh these shoes compared to the Legacy Lifter and Legacy Lifter Flexweave models.

At this time, we're still waiting for an official release date and when we receive it, we'll be sure to update this article accordingly. Like the price, there is no official confirmation yet. What do you think about the latest model? Do you like the new look?
