Allergeneat, the app that will help you identify food allergies

In recent years, the rate of intolerance or allergy to certain ingredients has been increasing. Sometimes it is an arduous task to go to the supermarket and choose the right products to avoid making us feel bad in a digestive way. Thanks to allergeneat, these problems will disappear from your life and you will make the purchase saving time.

What is Allergeneat?

This is an application that locates the presence of up to 14 allergens when reading the barcode. The majority of the population is affected by gluten and lactose intolerance, according to the calculations carried out by the company behind this app. And it is estimated that 12 million people in Spain suffer from intolerances, a figure that increases over the years.

This app can be downloaded for free and no need to use mobile data or WiFi for your use. You will only have to create a profile, specifying which products you are allergic or intolerant to. From there, you will only have to scan the barcode of the product in question and Allergeneat will give a green (pass) or red (fail) light depending on intolerance.

Your database has more than 100.000 references from the Spanish market, so it is highly difficult for it not to be able to detect the product you are scanning. In addition, every month they update it with 9.000 more references.

You will discover new products

Normally you always buy the same products because that way you save time when you go to the supermarket; that is, you are going to shot done. Now just by passing the barcode, it will automatically tell you if you can or not, opening up a new possibility for you to eat.
Also, you will avoid buying products that you cannot take later. Surely that has happened to you to buy a dark chocolate and not realize that it contains lactose, right? Now we avoid this risk!

Also, you won't fall into the trap of products labeled "gluten-free" when they never actually contained gluten. For example: canned corn, shampoos and cosmetics, oats... Companies take advantage of the "gluten free" label to persuade the population that is not informed.
